Proplate offers a complete multi-process service for tool steel parts and components, including precision cutting, milling, drilling andblasting.
Mechanical and tool part production at scale
Toolox® is formed with a low-carbon profile and very high cooling rate, making it tougher than most steels of similar Brinell hardness and ensuring a longer lifespan of components and parts. This makes it an optimal steel for applications such as tools, machine and car parts.
Proplate, for example, offers extensive experience in cutting and processing engineering components, such as gear rails, from Toolox® grade steel.
Faster delivery of Toolox® tool steel parts
World-leading Toolox® is produced at SSAB’s steel production site in Oxelösund, Sweden, a neighboring facility to Proplate’s production facilities. Our close proximity means that we can offer significantly faster transit times.
Each steel part which Proplate produces is marked with a Proplate IDnumber, to ensure traceability from the manufacturing plant through to your application site. By logging in to our customer portal, our customers have easy access to the certificates for the plates used to produce their components and assemblies.
