Proplate is launching a new production facility in the USA in 2025. The investment complements the global presence and expands Proplate’s reach in North America. Simultaneously, new job opportunities are being created in Mobile County, Chunchula, Alabama.

We have delivered components to the USA from Sweden for many years and want to ensure our presence in this important market by establishing a facility that covers the entire production chain in Alabama. This allows us to improve our service to existing customers and expand with deliveries to new customers. We are very excited, says Ian Hardy, Sales Director at Proplate and responsible for the USA project.

The investment is an economic development project that Proplate is implementing with support from Mobile Chamber, a member-driven, non-profit organization aimed at promoting business and trade locally. The goal is to offer local and regional customers reliable, high-quality steel components and assembly solutions tailored to their specific needs.

Proplate’s investment in Chunchula is a win for our community. It not only creates new jobs but also represents a long-term commitment to growth and prosperity in northern Mobile County. We look forward to seeing the positive impact the project will have on our local economy, says Mobile Chamber’s Chair and CEO Bradley Byrne.
