Proplate's 59,000 m² production facility in Oxelösund is one of the world's most advanced for manufacturing heavy plate steel components. With SSAB as our closest neighbor, we have immediate access to world-class steel.
We continuously invest in the latest production technology to ensure market-leading manufacturing capabilities and service for our customers. Our production is optimized for high quality, short lead times, and to ensure finished components can be seamlessly integrated into our customers' own production chains.
All our machines are equipped for flexible manufacturing, highest quality standards, and large-scale production of complex components in specialty steel.
Plasma and Oxyfuel Cutting
- Seven large Messer cutting machines with cutting tables up to 42 meters long and five meters wide.
- All machines feature multiple torches for both oxyfuel and fine plasma cutting.
- Capability to cut underwater to reduce heat-affected zones (HAZ) in the steel while providing a better working environment for our cutting operators.
CNC Machining for High-Precision Drilling and Milling
- 11 machining centers, specially adapted for complex processing of large heavy plate components.
- One of Europe's largest bed milling machines from REMA, capable of processing components up to 17,000 mm in length with 4-axis precision.
- Four Hedelius, two YCM, and one Butler machining center, all configured for complex processing of large heavy plate components.
Robotic and Manual Welding
- Automated and manual welding systems.
- Certified according to EN1090-1 and ISO 3834-2 for the highest standards.
Blasting
- Two through-feed machines for components up to 20 meters long.
- Two hydraulic straightening presses for perfect shaping.
Painting Facility
- Five wet coating booths with efficient filtration for high-quality surface finishing.
- Environmentally friendly technology for minimal impact and safe working conditions.
Thermal Zinc Coating
- Two booths for grit blasting and zinc metallization, perfect for corrosion protection.
Component Assembly
- Assembly station for bolt cage sections and high-strength braces.
- Direct delivery into the customer's production chain for shorter lead times.
