We manufacture gravity foundations for wind turbines
Gravity foundations consist of a steel bolt cage positioned below ground level and embedded in reinforced concrete. The wind turbine is mounted directly atop this bolt cage. Foundation size varies depending on ground conditions and, importantly, the height of the wind turbine—taller towers require larger, more stable foundations.

We manufacture bolt cages for gravity foundations at our state-of-the-art production facility in Oxelösund. Here, we precisely cut and process thick anchor rings and pre-assemble the bolt cages in sections—saving valuable time and enhancing safety on-site at the wind farm. Partnering with leading bolt manufacturers, we ensure the highest quality for every bolt cage leaving our factory.
We understand that every customer’s needs are unique, so we customize our deliveries accordingly. Many of our customers appreciate the convenience of pre-assembled bolt cages, while we also offer complete ready-to-assemble kits with anchor rings, bolts, and all necessary components. Our solutions are thoughtfully designed to support the quickest and smoothest possible foundation installation.

Anchoring Solution for Wind Turbines on Soil — Proplate Soil Secure
Proplate Soil Secure is a traditional bolt cage solution designed for land-based wind turbines anchored in soil. This gravity-based method—the most common anchoring technique—ensures stable support for the market’s tallest and most powerful wind turbines.
Proplate Soil Secure is a complete and flexible solution for gravity foundations. With short lead times and cost-effective production, we deliver bolt cages directly from our factory in Oxelösund.
Our production is tailored to meet the stringent quality and tolerance requirements for bolt cages used in gravity foundations. We manufacture foundation rings from heavy plate steel up to 150 mm thick, which we precisely cut, CNC-machine, and weld to exact specifications. Our customers also benefit from advanced surface treatments, including painting and thermal spraying (galvanizing), to protect bolt cages against corrosion. Combined with high-quality anchor bolts sourced from leading suppliers, our bolt cages ensure quick and secure anchoring for the tallest wind turbines on the market.
Proplate’s solution guarantees reduced lead times and complete delivery—either as pre-assembled bolt cages or ready-to-assemble flat packages containing all necessary components.
Anchoring Wind Turbines in Mixed Ground Conditions — Proplate Mixed Secure
Proplate Mixed Secure offers superior anchoring for mixed ground conditions, where bedrock is covered by layers of soil and/or gravel. This solution features a smaller bolt cage cast in concrete, secured by long threaded foundation bolts—known as rock anchors—that extend deep into the bedrock. Proplate Mixed Secure is the ideal choice when specialized adaptation is required for challenging terrain.
As the search for optimal wind farm locations pushes into higher elevations and more challenging terrain, Proplate Mixed Secure offers a reliable anchoring solution for sites where rock is covered by a soil layer. Our versatile anchoring systems are tailored to the specific site conditions—whether that means an optimized bolt cage, rock anchoring, or a combination of both—ensuring safe and stable foundations every time.
Our production facility is equipped to meet the diverse design and tolerance requirements tailored to the specific conditions of each wind farm.
Proplate Mixed Secure guarantees secure anchoring with a low-profile bolt cage cast in concrete and up to 12-meter-long ISO-certified bolts, carefully selected in close collaboration with leading bolt manufacturers. We provide a complete solution, delivering all components directly to the wind farm.
Efficient Delivery and Assembly for Time-Critical Wind Power Projects
Our unique service includes pre-assembly of the foundation bolt cage, reducing on-site assembly time and enhancing safety at the wind farm.
Thanks to our close proximity to SSAB, we provide our customers with easy access to world-class steel. This also allows us to shorten delivery times for steel used in bolt cages—a crucial advantage for wind power projects operating on tight schedules.
