Tension Bars for Crawler Cranes Across All Industry Types
Proplate Manufactures All Tension Bars for Liebherr-Werk Nenzing's Cranes
Proplate has maintained a long-standing partnership with Liebherr and produces all the struts used in Liebherr-Werk Nenzing's cranes. The crawler cranes manufactured in Austria's Vorarlberg region are used worldwide across all types of industries requiring secure lifting operations, such as wind power, new construction projects, and high-rise building construction. The tension bars are extremely critical components in the crane's structure, as they are subjected to the highest stress loads.

Always Meeting Requirements with Quick Response Times
"Our customers expect safety first and foremost. They must be confidently assured that our products meet their expectations regarding quality and safety," says Markus Bösch, Head of the Supplier Department at Liebherr-Werk Nenzing.
He explains that after quality, delivery reliability is most important for Liebherr. In a rapidly changing market, the company must be able to prioritize and meet customer deadlines.
"We are very pleased to have suppliers who are both highly flexible and fulfill our quality requirements. Proplate is so well-structured that they can always meet our demands with short response times," says Markus Bösch.
Cost-Effective Manufacturing Through Optimized Processes
Proplate's optimized manufacturing process enables cost-effective production even in a high-cost country. This collaboration has strongly contributed to Proplate achieving its current market position, and employees take pride in being a supplier to Liebherr.
Both companies agree that suppliers must be open to new structures and challenges while maintaining a solution-oriented approach. One example of how new solutions are developed, tested, and implemented is the production of struts in special colors. Liebherr-Werk Nenzing's customers are increasingly ordering cranes painted in their own corporate colors. Procurement for these specific cranes presents an organizational challenge for Liebherr.
"Our customers are accustomed to quick response times from us," says Markus Bösch. "Thanks to Proplate's flexibility and understanding of our organization, we can manage this without significantly impacting our own processes."
Motivated Employees
From Liebherr's perspective, Proplate's competent and motivated employees are highlighted as a crucial element in their success and have greatly contributed to the positive long-term collaboration between the companies.
"When it comes to meeting challenges, highly motivated and engaged employees are always available at Proplate," says Markus Bösch.
