Fresh winds bring orders to Proplate
All ten wind turbines in Mombyåsen wind park in Sandvikens municipality (North Sweden) will be standing firm thanks to bolt basket steel from Proplate in Oxelösund. The contract between Proplate and NCC, which is responsible for the work around the tower’s foundation, was signed today, Tuesday August 11.
In September, the 10 giant baskets that anchor the tower will be delivered to Mombyåsen in Gästrikland. The steel for the baskets weighs 130 tons.
It is estimated that the ten turbines will produce over 100 GWh annually.
“This order is entirely consistent with our windpower strategy. We have a modern plant suitable for these thick rings”, says Proplate Sales Manager Johan Törnqvist.
Proplate has previously supplied anchor rings and cages to Vestas’ V90, V100, V112, V126 and to General Electric’s GE 1,6-100.
